Variety: Melon de Bourgogne
Region: Oregon, USA
Scott and Dana Frank makes their wines in close proximity to Portland City in Oregon, but purchase some of the best fruit that the Oregon produces. They focus on many of the varieties typically found in the Loire Valley in France, offering beautiful expressions of grapes like Gamay, Pinot Noir, and this Melon de Bourgogne. It has a palate that exhibits chalky soil and wet rocks, lemon pith and pear skin. This is another one of the Bedales favourites that we love to make some noise about. It's everything we love in a wine: thoughtfully farmed, full of character, and delicious.
