Varieties: Pinot Noir
Region: Burgundy, France
Appellation: Morey St Denis
Morey St-Denis is inconspicuous between its show-stopping neighbours Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle- Musigny, but it quietly produces wines that rival the best Burgundy has to offer. Dark red in colour with a delicate bouquet, then juicy and sweet in the mouth, with soil-driven red berry flavours, red liquorice and mineral notes. Good density and breadth with a bit more size than usual for this wine. Finishes with dusty, horizontal tannins.
