Masciarelli Tenute Agricole was established in 1981 from the entrepreneurial intuition of Gianni Masciarelli, an icon of Italian wine and the protagonist in the success of modern wine production in Abruzzo. The beating heart of the winery is in San Martino sulla Marrucina, in the province of Chieti, and includes vineyards and olive groves, in all 4 provinces of Abruzzo. It's a gorgeous part of Italy to visit and explore.
The Trebbiano grape is considered to be neutral and easy, and the wines are typically drunk in their youth to retain the energy in them. It is dry and delicate, and perfect as aperitif or with light Italian and vegetarian cuisine.
