The area of Naoussa is one of the most important areas of viticulture in Greece. It is situated in Central Macedonia at an altitude ranging from 80m to 350m. Today, the total surface is 500 Ha, where the indigenous variety “Xinomavro”, is cultivated for the production of wine with the “Appellation Zone of Naoussa”.
This red wine is produced exclusively from a single 1.5 acre vineyard situated in the Karaoutsa area of Nea Strantza in the heart of Naoussa wine-growing region.
The vineyard lies at an altitude of 200 metres on sandy loam soil
The wine is aged for one year in French oak barrels and for at least one additional year in the bottle.
Rich bouquet of ripe red fruit, spices and wood. Mouth full of tannins that develop nicely with a long aftertaste.
Goes perfectly with roasted meats/meats with tomato-based sauces.
