Variety: Gruner Veltliner
Region: Kamptal, Austria
Langenlois is in the heart of the Kamptal region, producing some of the most iconic Gruner Veltliners Austria produces. The Gobelsburg cellars are ancient (dating back to the 11th century), and today, there is still a strong sense of trying to retain traditional winemaking techniques without overdoing it on technological innovations.
The wine shows the classic spiciness and white pepper characteristics that are typical of the Gruner grape. Add to that some lush citrus fruit and a good dollop of floral aromas and flavours, and you've got yourself a full-bodied and tense example of the classic Austrian grape.
