Grape: Verduzzo Friuliano
Region: Friuli, Venezia Giulia Italy
Forty-eight hours of maceration on the skins result in a vibrant yellow-gold hue. The aroma is a delightful blend of wildflowers and stone fruits, including apple, pear, nectarine, and apricot. In contrast to the typically sweet Verduzzo wines from Friuli, this one is dry, offering a pleasantly tannic profile and a robust expression, concluding with an almondy finish that features notes of walnut, apricot, and acacia.
Versatile pairings range from cooked vegetables to more challenging options like green beans, artichokes, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts. It also complements chicken and game bird dishes, whether roasted or grilled.
