Grape(s): Dolcetto
Region: Piedmont
The notion of wine as the genuine reflection of the Barbaresco region gained significant recognition. As the estate grew over time, additional land parcels were acquired, and the cellar expanded, a trajectory that persists with the active participation of Bruno's offspring, Francesco and Luisa. At the heart of Bruno Rocca's company ethos lies a simple yet profound belief, as stated by Rocca himself: Wine serves as both a mirror and a soul of the land, and if the territory is safeguarded and championed, it will consistently prove its worth.
The aroma of rose petals mingles with dark cherry and plum notes, accented by hints of incense, earthiness, and freshly infused herbs. Despite its light body, the palate bursts with vibrant cherry and plum flavors, intertwined with incense accents and herbal freshness. The finish is dry, marked by a touch of earthiness. Crisp acidity and slightly chalky tannins lead to a lingering aftertaste featuring ripe cherries, plum, earthy incense, fresh herbs, and a subtle inkiness.
