Region: Beaujolais, France
From the vigneron Jules Chauvet, a forerunner of sulphite free wines, comes this beautiful expression of village Beaujolais
The 13 hectares of Gamay vines are located mainly in Morgon although there is a small parcel of vines in Cotes du Py.
The average age of the vines is 60 years and everything is carried out according to organic principles: the grapes are handpicked and there is very little intervention in the cellar.
On the nose you can expect juicy notes of red fruits such as cherries, strawberries and raspberries accompanied by notes of plums, cocoa and chalk.
A very nuanced and complex Beaujolais.
