Varieties: Agioritiko
Region: Peloponnese Greece
Appellation: Nemea
Agioritiko, named for St George, is Greece’s blockbuster, age-worthy red variety. Gaia’s Nemea vineyards are situated at altitude in the baking hot North West of the Peloponnese, cooling breezes from the Aegean slow the ripening process just enough to provide depth and complexity to the aromas and flavours of the fruit. Well-structured and bursting with plum and damsons, and tied together by the sweet spice of some really good quality oak.
