Grape(s): Plyto
Region: Crete
The Cretan variety Plytó was saved from extinction by the Lyrarakis family, when it was planted in the "Psarades" vineyard at 480m altitude in the early '90s. An elegant organic wine, both fruity and mineral, with chalky notes. Balanced and full with vibrant acidity and slightly creamy aftertaste. Notes of white peach and citrus blossom lead the way with more fruity wafts of lemon, apple, pear. Floral honeysuckle, green herbs, and chalky flint balance the acidity. Pairs well with grilled fish and seafood.
