Sonsierra Crianza emerges as a red wine made by Bodegas Sonsierra, situated in the heart of San Vicente de Sonsierra within the D.O.Ca. Rioja region.
The inception of Bodegas Sonsierra dates back to 1962, when a collective of over 240 vine cultivators from San Vicente de la Sonsierra came together with a vision to establish a cooperative dedicated to crafting their individual wines. This pioneering initiative marked the birth of the first cooperative in La Rioja to proudly present its wines with specific geographic origins indicated on their labels.
In the glass, it has a beautiful cherry red colour with slight brick tones. On the nose, aromas of cocoa, vanilla and coffee, due in large part to the maturing phase, while in the mouth it reveals good body and a strong character. The finish is lively and fragrant, with notes of ripe fruit and liquorice. A round and harmonious wine, it is ideal as an accompaniment to meat, legumes, pasta and semi-mature cheese.
