Cantina Frentana is a cooperative of 400 winegrowers, mainly small family businesses, cultivating about 1000 hectares of vineyards in the scenic Frentana hills of southern Abruzzo. Nestled between the Majella mountain slopes and the Costa dei Trabocchi, this region's limestone soil and maritime influences create ideal conditions for viticulture, with a focus on this indigenous grape varietie.
Following gentle pressing, the juice undergoes static clarification before commencing alcoholic fermentation at low temperatures, initiated by carefully selected yeasts. Aging then takes place in stainless steel tanks for 4-5 months, with periodic lees stirring, before bottling.
